Go Skateboarding Day

Emerica's anual "Wild in the Streets" event popped of pretty hard last week, all thanks to Brad Holmes and Geoff Smith at Time Bomb. I remember a few years ago the event was hosted by some random douche of a rep who only knew spots like commerce and cbc, well this year the dudes running the show could actually skate the spots they went to, and they did so. Hammers were laid and cash was handed out at a pretty diverse range of spots downtown, making for what I would have to argue was one of the best street skateboarding events in Toronto. Zack Ferguson, Mitch Donovan, Byron Ready, Jose Cordova, Colin Findlater, Geoff Smith, Josh Forges, Brendan Cahill and Kevin Tio all destroyed it from spot to spot. A big thanks to Geoff Smith and Brad Holmes at Time Bomb for making it all happen!

Smash and Grab Krew & Shake Junt

The Krew and Shake junt demo rolled through ashbridges the other week, straight up putting the volcom demo to shame! Twenty minutes in, the event tuned into a shit show on the 11 stair, which could only be brought to and end by rain. At the volcom demo the previous week people weren't really allowed to skate or film with the pros, which in my opinion kind of defeats the purpose of having a demo . As much as I hate the idea of a company that brands its self in the image of excessive drinking and drug use, this event was definitely a hit. For me the highlights of the day were J-S Lapierre flipping into what ever he wanted on the 11 rail in the rain, and Neen Williams super unique style and trick selection, not to mention consistency and pop.

Feel Reel Good Mixtape Finished

I know i said i was going to update this more often, but I honestly haven't had a day off skating in a month or two, not to say I'm complaining. This mixtape was filmed by my self and Kai Hoecke over a period of about 2 months and edited my Kai. HD clips are using a canon t2i and sd footage is vx1/mk1.
