Tsunami's and Tailslides

Photobucket

Is it just me or is the word having a complete shit fit so far this year? Things may be docile enough in our corner of the world, but that's just because we happen to be located in about the safest geographic and economic area of the world. Thankfully we aren't drilling for oil miles beneath us or cultivating nuclear power on fault lines. Our Government isn't quite completely blowing it and the vast majority of us have more than enough food on our tables. But if history has taught us anything it is that isolationist policies can turn out as dangerous and the situations they ignore. Should the planet as a whole let it's self drill for oil so deep that it has no protocol for a mishap? Should we generate volatile nuclear power in areas where we expect earthquakes ever hundred years? Is it really smart in the long run to sell arms to far flung regimes we know suppress their own people, just so we can have a monopoly on their industry? Are we ever going to stop setting out selves up for disaster? I guess when the consequences are somewhat distant or improbable, human beings don't foresee things blowing up in their face. This definitely not the case in skateboarding however, because with skateboarding the consequences are at the bottom of the rail, and if you bunt they'll be between your legs before you can say Fukushima meltdown.

Considering we're still recovering from last years three month long BP oil spill, this years currently unfolding nuclear disaster in Japan proves that Ecological disasters come more than just once in a blue moon these days, but with the right color temperature setting so this did this.
